Sports-complex has been used as a vaccination centre
In summer 2021, San Miguel Corporation opened their own multipurpose sports-hall in Pasing, Metro Manila, Philippines. This fully climatized sports-hall got three international sized basketball courts and was dedicated for the use by the company’s own three professional basketball teams. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the large facility was first used for more important purposes: 24,000 employees and their families received their cost-free COVID vaccination shots at this provisional vaccination centre.

In 1975 San Miguel Corporation, together with eight other corporations, founded the Philippine Basketball Association, the oldest professional basketball league in Asia. Today, SMC owns these three teams: Ginebra San Miguel, San Miguel Beermen, Magnolia Hotshots.
