World record holder Usain Bolt has been promoting REGUPOL for years
Usain Bolt set the current 100m world record at the 2009 IAAF World Championships, clocking an astonishing 9.58 seconds. Days later, he sprinted through the finish in the 200m and ran away with yet another world record, a symmetrical time of 19.19 seconds. History was made and a legend born on our blue REGUPOL running track.

The advertising partnership
Shortly after his victories at the World Athletics Championship in Berlin, we contacted Usain Bolt, his coach Glen Mills and manager Ricky Simms to talk about a possible advertising partnership. Bolt was so convinced of the quality of REGUPOL running tracks that he and his management immediately agreed. After all this tim, the top athlete is still enthusiastic about REGUPOL.

A REGUPOL running track in Jamaica
An important part of this contract was the construction of a new training and competition track for Bolt and his teammates from the Racers Track Club on their training grounds, the campus of UWI University in Kingston, Jamaica. Top sprinters continue to train on this REGUPOL tartan track under the direction of coach Glen Mills. Since 2010, several UWI Invitational track meets have been hosted at the World Athletics (formerly IAAF) certified facility.

Jamaicans train on REGUPOL
Since the construction of the running track for Usain Bolt and his teammates in 2010, REGUPOL has gone on to design and install several other REGUPOL tracks on the Caribbean Island. Our running tracks in Jamaica can be found at the National Stadium, the adjacent Stadium East and at the G.C. Foster College of Physical Education, the training center for athletics coaches in Jamaica. Also at the prestigious Jamaica College, Kingston College and Calabar High School.
