Millersville University
The Carpenter-Trout Strength Center
The Carpenter-Trout Strength Center opened in 2006 and is available to all Millersville varsity athletes. With the constant action the facility sees in a day, the athletic department knew it was time to make a change, and that they did.
The original space featured raised Olympic platforms limiting the functional space within the facility. The outdated platforms also presented an increased risk of tripping and made it difficult to keep the space clean for the athletes.
The new REGUPOL aktivpro roll floor, on the other hand, features flush inlaid platforms with REGUPOL crash drop zones, allowing for Olympic platforms to sit perfectly in-line with the rest of the floor. In turn, maximizing space for athletes, limiting the tripping hazards, and making it much easier to keep clean.
“The new upgrades and layout will enhance the space tremendously,” said Millersville Strength and Conditioning Coach Kyle Regensburg. “We will now have the space to train multiple teams without having to maneuver around each other, which will create a much safer and efficient training environment, which has always been priority number one for me. With these new upgrades, we will have the ability to make sure that every student-athlete at Millersville University can receive high-quality training that promotes their overall health, wellness, and increase in performance.”
The 4,200 square feet facility now has 1" thick performance flooring with 16 Olympic inlaid platforms, along with precision jet water cutting to brand the floor with the Millersville logo transformed the facility into a work of art. Aktivpro roll high-performance floor is the perfect choice to withstand the constant foot traffic as well as take heavy hits of over 450 student-athletes.
